Since the birth of my first son Thomas in April 2005
(and a couple months or more before of research before that), I
have become a certified diaper hyena! Once Thomas was born quietly
at home at 1:35 in the morning (okay, not so quietly), I was overwhelmed
by how fast he grew (15lbs 25 1/2in at 10weeks!!) and how limited
my pre-birth diaper supply shopping had become, the over-creative
part of me kicked in and decided to make my own diapers. I sewed
and crochet everything myself with my own developed and tested patterns.
Once my daughter Molly came into our lives in the wee hours of one
day in March 2007 (what's with homebirthing and babies coming in
the middle of the night), I've been trying to simplify and make
the most of our time together and redefining my life as a mom of
two.
After many sleepless nights (you know, ebf Molly) I decided to 'branch
out" so to speak, expressing myself creatively by sewing and
crocheting for Yonder Tree and by printing my patterns available
for other sahm's at Little
Comet Tails.

Being a busy mom of 5 with another on the way, I have
always needed an outlet to express myself. A way to unwind after
long crazy days. My children range in ages from 9 down to newborn
coming soon so I have a broad range of little guinea pigs to try
out all my ideas on. Since I consider myself a certified Baby addict,
creating items for babies and children is just a natural fit. Of
course I can never stay focused on just one area of craftiness and
so I created my line of Knit-A-Long yarn bags, stitch markers and
Knitting Needle Rolls which have proven to be very popular. I can
often be found in my sewing/office room sewing away with a gaggle
of children at my feet. They have all proven to be little crafters
themselves and there is always a work in progress lying on the couch
of over a chair.
I came into the cloth diapering scene a little later than some starting
with my 5th baby, Caleb. I only wish I had started sooner! It’s
like a whole new and exciting world out there in Cloth Diaper Land.
I am extremely excited to be a part of the WAHM world and I am always
available to chat, take suggestions, talk about kids and natural
parenting.
